Character Design Brief

Ampster is a short-form video app for young people - capturing moments and reactions. Users can build an interactive video reel by posting a reaction and selecting their favourite replies https://ampster.app/.

We are looking for a cute and original "hamster" character to use as our main animated stickers within the app. We do not need a hamster in a wheel in this instance, we want to create a relatable character for in app use. The purpose of the sticker is:

To encourage users to create a video reaction by providing hints, reminders, updates, or important dates

To provide support to users who have created engaging or viral content. To recognise landmarks and achievements

Hamster characteristics: smart, supportive, likeable, alert

Ideally, we would be looking to see a range of expressions or activities. Potential for further design work with the winning candidate.

Attached is the artwork based around our original logo.
