Logo Design Brief
The project acronym is MARVELS - "Malawi Accelerated Research in Vaccines, Experimental and Laboratory Systems".
We use an approach called controlled human infection (a link to a video explaining this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcD7kH5mCLk) which is a safe an established way to select new vaccines.
Our specific aim for this project is to understand why the current vaccine for a bacteria called Streptococcus pneumoniae (this is a common cause of pneumonia) doesn't work as well in the sub Saharan African context compared to richer countries.
We need a logo that encompasses our acronym and vaccines to prevent pneumonia. We would request that there are no needles on the design, such logos will not be selected.

Nice to have
- The colours of the Malawi Flag would be good, potentially with the red sun rise too.
After further consultation with the team we feel that the logo should not include lungs. Would be grateful for modifications to designs including this image if possible
Should not have
- Avoid colours associated with local political parties (blue and yellow).
