Graphic Design Brief

We are a small town jewellery store putting on a "Maskerade" themed event where we will be inviting patrons to participate in a COVID-friendly shopping and retail experience.

The theme is a play on words, incorporating the MASK, with which we are all too familiar in these times, and the classic Masquerade party theme. We need a logo designed for the event, as well as layout/background options to be utilized for social media posts, advertisements, invitations, and in-store signage.

The design should very clearly indicate the play on words (using different fonts or styles for "mask" and "erade" to emphasize the pun, and should include a graphic that illustrates an ornate masquerade style mask along with a surgical mask. We are aiming for a fun and elegant feel, focusing mainly on the classic masquerade, using black, white, and gold colours - we would like all of the elegance of the masquerade, with a stark juxtaposition of the surgical mask.

Our store logo should be included somewhere - possibly even re-imagined into a masquerade- style mask itself!

Requirements

Must have

• A Maskerade specific logo, along with the word "Maskerade", our store logo, clear and legible font, black, white, and gold colours, semi- realistic and detailed imagery done in an illustration style, CLEAR translation of theme

Nice to have

• Elegant and fun design, suitable background and/or border

• The store name (Wainwright Jewellers), cartoon-like or childish imagery, line art
