Illustration Design Brief

We are looking for an eye catching illustration to grab the news readers attention. Something that will jump off the page. Wanting animal characters drawn almost as cartoon characters - see attached ideas.

Please note the ONLY Australian animals to be used are an Emu (NOT an Ostrich) a Red Kangaroo, a pink and grey Galah, and an Olive Python.

Basically the design I put together and sent is EXACTLY what I need. I just need it drawn up The Sun, earth, placard and the four animals.

We want a sketchy, cartoony feel to this (see reference artist website). Perhaps more character than cartoon. The red dirt and the sun - this is the Pilbara and we are a semi arid desert region. Emu, Kangaroo - are on the Australian coat of Arms.

Option 1 - The emu holding the Placard with a small wing with feathers,( because emus don't actually have wings but we can use artistic license here? )Or

Option 2 maybe the kangaroo holding the sign and showing off her baby and the emu just standing there.

Open to their interpretation. Want something that is colloquial Australian. QUIRKY. The animal expressions are very important.

Overall size is 18 to21cm in width and 12cm high. This does not include the Title.

Heading Title is - The idea that only some lives matter is what is wrong with this world by Dr Paul Farmer - can be included above the illustration of left off.

The heading brings the readers attention to the fact that ALL lives matter as does the placard. Please note the separation between the words wild and life, also hashtag is at the end - not the beginning.

This illustration is going to be used to launch our Social enterprise concept of a not for profit veterinary hospital that will look after wildlife as well as domestic pets. Currently no veterinary treatment is available for wildlife in the Pilbara.
Please re read this brief, slowly and in full, so you get the correct picture of what we are looking for.

We are happy to receive sketches first so it would be easier and faster for you to draw and make changes. We will ask you to color them once the sketch is finalized.

Must have

• Catchy cartoon type characters as this is their plight. Must be in color. Must have character to them not be generic type

Nice to have

• colloquial australiana

Should not have

• Any other animals than the ones listed as we do NOT have koalas or wombats or forests over here in the Pilbara
