Logo Design Brief

We are an apartment complex in Oakwood GA just NE of Atlanta. We recently purchased this property and we are changing the name. We would also like a new logo to go along with it.

We definitely do not want anything with a house or roof in the logo. There are no specific landmarks to build off of. The current colors are blue and gold. We are open to interpretation and are not stuck on staying with them. I will post a few pictures of the complex. I attached a picture of the front landmark sign. I need something that will fit within the brick however we will redo the actual sign that attaches to the brick.
