Poster Design Brief

We are a fundraising event held every year in a tiny outback town in australia. the cooking competition is a 'camp oven' themed competition. people are required to cook in the ground in coals with a camp oven (dutch oven).
the event is celebrating ten years and needs a new flashy poster to let people know.

the event raises much needed funds for "the Royal Flying Doctor" a a donation funded scheme which flys doctors and patients to and from remote australia.

The COOK OUT BACK is held annually in the tiny town of Blinman in the northern Flinders Ranges. The main street of the town, camp ground, and surrounding area have been landscaped to suit the competitions purpose. A giant ‘creek bed’ kitchen is created with tones of rocks and gravel transforming the street and adjacent hill side. The picturesque and historic Blinman Hotel with its verandahs and characteristic front bar, will form a focus, the remaining street precinct will be the venue for exhibitions, wine tasting, food outlets, trade displays, demonstrations and live music.
