Logo Design Brief

We need a logo that shows what work we are doing.
We are a Danish engineering company that designs quay walls, habours, dikes and other structures within water construction.
We take over an old reputable company, which has an old logo that could be inspired by. Please see www.rosbaek.dk. However, the logo should be simpler and more modern.
The new name is " Ingeniørfirmaet Aaskov Aps ".

I have attached a sketch, made by myself, but I'm open to good ideas.

I would ask you to be more creative and use my sketch only as an idea.
My company makes constructions (civil engineering) like ports, quays, dikes etc. Not ships.
