Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a simple yet fun/playful two-letter graphic (specifically, HD) for my dental practice, which is called Hoki Dental. I have uploaded two images as a starting point.
The HD sample logo is what I came up with to represent a smiling face from the initials of my dental practice name (i.e Hoki Dental). However, I think this particular design is too harsh/sterile and not "cute" enough.
The second image of Face & Smile's logo is much softer and more playful, which is the look and feel I am looking for.
With regards to colour, I am wanting the H and the D to be different colours, with one matching the red colour of Face and Smile's logo and the other being a dark grey that goes nicely with the selected red.
If you are able to create a 2-letter logo associated both with and without the name of the business (i.e. Hoki Dental), that would be greatly appreciated.
