Logo Design Brief

We want a logo designed for a vacation rental resort property we own in the Florida Keys (Tavernier, Fl). The property is called Parrotfish Bay. The property has several rental cottages, a beach front with two boat docks that can accomodate multiple boats. The local activities are fishing, diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding and all water sports. This property is unique in that it has waterfront beach and dockage for boats with great views and safe areas to go swimming, snorkeling or any watersport.

We named the property Parrotfish Bay because when you walk out to the dock we usually see a school of 15-20 parrotfish that are swimming around.

We want a unique logo that DOES NOT include your typical tropical design logo with a palm tree and an island. The parrotfish is a unique fish and extremely colorful. I have attached photo of the color of parrotfish that we have at our property as there are many different species. I have also attached a survey of the property and some pictures so you can understand what the property looks like. We have two docks with docking for many boats which is unique, The open bay views are great,. The keys on the bay side are known for amazing sunsets. I am not requesting anything specific in the logo. I want someone to look at the logo and think that it looks professional and high end. These cottages rent for between $500 to $700 a night so its a higher end property.

We want to the logo to include the name Parrotfish Bay Cottages.
We want a color version and a black and white version of the logo. We plan to also use the logo on clothing so please take into consideration how the logo will print if embroidered or screen printed.

Families looking for a vacation on a private beach property in the Florida Keys. Most people will want to come and dock their boat at the property or
rent a boat to either go fishing or diving,. Fishing is very popular here.

Requirements

Must have

• I want the logo to have a contemporary feel to it and not be anything that looks cartoonish. I think the color of the parrotfish are very unique and something that should be incorporated into logo.

Should not have

• I don’t want a logo that focus on the letters of the name parrotfish bay cottages. I am not looking for a logo that has p b c or pb as part of the logo. I am looking for a unique graphical design. I don’t want a letter mark logo.
