Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company called " Indi Oil Co., LLC" The name derived from a lot of research about the original petroleum gathers in north america. We were able to learn a lot about the Iroquois Indian tribe, one of the most advanced and cultured of all tribes, began to extract oil from the ground - using it as a salve, mosquito repellent, purge and tonic. The Indian Medicine men were the first oil drillers in America dating back to at least 1400.
Now about us - We are a continuously changing company, who is buying, selling, transporting and storing crude oil in north america. I don't believe we would like to see a design which involves what appears to be a rain/oil drop, but I may change my mind. Some suggested colors could be used are Gold, Silver, Blue, Green, Red . The design should be simple but have some abstract qualities. It could have a design with lines since we are connecting and transferring crude oil. It could even have similarities of the southwest Native Indian designs, but at this point we are open to anything!
