Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for a french-style marmelade brand called "Jacques le Gourmand", which I've just created a couple of weeks ago.
Based in Switzerland, Zürich, I'm planing to sell 2-3 marmelade articles at some smaller shops - of course with the logo on the label of the jar that you'll have created ;-)
I already created a draft for this brief (see uploaded files) which I already like pretty much (but which I cannot use for commercial purposes because some design elements of it are already used by someone else). For the future logo, it would be great to have something similar (like an adaption) or any other french face/silhouette representing (the imaginary French guy) Jacques le Gourmand.
Brand positioning: gourmandise, treat, pleasure, indulgence, French confectionary know-how, authentic/artisanal food products, creativity and maybe a little bit of humor.
Apart from the (actually very simple) logo, I'd be thankful to get also a suggestion for an ideal "free" font type which I can use for some marketing material in the future.

• - bonnet & moustache symbols OR/AND a face (rough outlines are also fine)
  - symbols / face should look like a stereotype French person

Nice to have

• The words "Jacques le Gourmand" should
  - either surround the hat & moustache symbols / face (e.g. "Jacques" above and "le Gourmand" below).
  - or stand below the symbols
