Logo Design Brief

Need logo for a father/son (10 years old) crafting duo. AWE stands for Acrylic, Woodworking, Epoxy, our primary mediums. We want a simple, fun but professional logo we can continue to use even after my son grows up.

For acrylic, our projects include acrylic paintings - both abstract and stylized, and acrylic pour paintings.

We have mostly just done test/fun projects to this point, but we are turning it into a regular side business for now, with an opportunity to turn it into full time work later.
Our woodworking projects come all sizes - jigs (both for our use and to sell), cutting boards, bread/cheese boards, storage and organization, art/decorative pieces, and all sizes furniture.

Our epoxy projects tend to be smaller art pieces and molds. We also incorporate epoxy into some of the woodworking projects. This ranges from defect filling, accent colors, or as features (for example, river tables or live edge tables).

We also include LED lighting in certain projects (lamps, night lights, art pieces), and are looking to add smart elements - for example, lights that can be controlled with smart assistants, wi-fi enabled speakers, etc.

Requirements

Must have

• It needs to work in both color and black/white so it can be applied to everything from our website to all our projects, from paintings to pendants to furniture.
  
  Based on a number of submissions, we have also decided wordmark logos (aka name-based logos without some sort of icon or symbol worked into the design) do not stand out enough compared to the top submissions we have already received, so will be eliminating those submissions.

Nice to have

• "AWE" should be in the logo unless the design is simple enough and unique enough to stand on its own. "Crafting" is optional, but I suspect will be needed for clarification. Son loves cats, so a feline element would be fun, if it can be worked in. One other idea we just came up with is mountains as a potential element since we live in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Should not have

• Do not want floral styles. Do not want childish elements, even though my son is only 10 now, as those will not be relevant in a few years.
