Logo Design Brief

An updated logo for surfstore.co.nz. We are an online e-tailer focussing on surfing products eg boards, wetsuits, wax, leashes etc in the New Zealand market. It is NZ's oldest online surf retailer, however the brand/store has had limited investment over the last few years. The logo should reflect the focus on surf. It should included the words surfstore.co.nz but should also be able to stand alone as a logo. It will probably be a logo that is more retro than street. If it was a singer it would be Jack Johnson.

Target Market(s)

Primary target is NZ surfers 25-40 first timers to intermediates. Slight male skew (60/40). Chill out on the weekend with discretionary income to spend on surfing
Secondary target is broader - NZ surfers who want to use the internet to purchase to save time, cost or if they don't have a physical surfstore near them.
