Logo Design Brief

Sinton Vet Clinic is a mixed practice (dogs, cats, horses, cattle, pigs, bees, quail, camels, etc) in rural south Texas. We try to offer versatile options that fit our clients needs and budgets; our clientele ranges from wealthy oil money with fancy cats to cattle ranchers and rodeo'ers to the very poor with one goat or mutt. I consider my approach classy, straightforward, and humorous, with an emphasis prevention and education. The logo needs to be versatile and appeal to a broad audience. It should look great on a 4x8 sign visible from the road, as well as scrub tops, hats, etc. (Think "Best Buy"; sometimes with the words in the tag, sometimes the tag beside the words, sometimes just the words or the tag). I like simple but impactful. I would prefer the veterinary caduceus be incorporated, but I would definitely consider a great logo without it. I don't have a strong color preference. Sinton is a rural community 30 minutes from the gulf coast and resort & fishing towns. The area is pretty flat, with live oak, mesquite, and huisache trees, prickly pear cactus, other brush, ranching and rodeos; cotton and corn farming and oil field activity are nearby.

• Veterinary Caduceus. Convey humor, fun, relaxed atmosphere. I like negative space-type designs, but this is not critical to have.
