We need a logo design for a new business in dog care. The business is called Cino's Place (that's pronounced Chino's without the "h"). The business is named after our Bernese Mountain Dog, Cappuccino. He has inspired us to start a doggy day care business with a twist, that also offers dog care services like dog walking, pet taxi, and overnight boarding, among other things that we won't reveal just yet. The brand is contemporary and positioned as 'affordable premium'. We want a logo that communicates our values: approachable, modern, and trustworthy. We are open to colour palettes, but want to see a version in the tri-colours that are true for Bernese Mountain Dogs: black, white, and tan. After all, authenticity is the name of the game so any design element that is inspired by the Bernese Mountain Dog (such as two brown dots for eyebrows) are advantageous. That said, please avoid cliche elements such as paw prints, dog leashes, etc...we want our brand to stand out from the rest and cliche visuals are not ownable to our brand.
Target Market(s)
Passionate dog owners who treat their pooch to daycare, grooming, boarding, walks and more. Their dog is their fur baby and they are willing to spend more on quality care. They feel guilty when they have to leave their pet at home when they go to work so look for trusted dog carers to look after them in their absence. We want our customers to feel comfortable leaving their dog in our care, and provide an approachable yet premium experience for them. We will go over and above to ensure their beloved pooch feels as loved as our Cino (who will be at the daycare with us at all times to greet everyone as they enter).

Requirements
Must have
- Tri colour: black, white and tan (just like our Bernese mountain dog, Cino, who inspired this business)
- Minimalistic: too much detail suggests a business that is chaotic and messy. Our doggy day care will be contemporary, and organised.
Nice to have
- Text + a visual symbol for our logo. The visual symbol can be used as a 'memory structure' for our brand and used across multiple platforms such as car advertising, branding on uniforms, etc... Think Nike swoosh symbol or the apple for Apple. These icons represent the brand without the need for text. This is ideal for modern applications of the logo as the brand / business grows.
Should not have
- No dog cliches! No paw prints, dog leashes or wet noses. These elements are not ownable and could be used by any other doggy day care business. We want to stand out from the crowd because our business will.
- Avoid character drawings in the logo (i.e. michelin man or the colonel from KFC). This is considered too juvenile. We want pet owners to feel they can trust us to care for their dog in an expert way. We are open to a more premium adaptation of a character if you strongly feel it is needed, but yet to be convinced.
