Logo Design Brief

The brand is 'Run Daddy Run' - targeted at unfit, overweight, stressed-out dads that have fallen foul of de-prioritising their own physical well-being and don't really know how/where to get started. <br/><br/>The mission is to get these dads (and granddads) to a point where they can give the kids a run for their money and enjoy a great quality of life with their families.<br/><br/>This will be achieved through locally focussed, supportive running groups, online group health coaching and support community and 1:1 coaching.<br/><br/>I need the logo to:<br/>- Reflect the goal of the brand, which is primarily to help dads keep up with and ultimately inspire their kids<br/>- Identify the concept of the modern dad as multifaceted in terms of his value and meaning to his family i.e. a worker/businessman (provider), a figure to depend upon (e.g. strong, resilient and with direction) and source of energy and inspiration<br/>- Be compact and iconic, with potential for web, print and textile (i.e. clothing)<br/>- Be something simple and masculine - something many Dads would be proud to associate with and even display on clothing etc. <br/><br/>The logo will initially be used on the website and social media (e.g. FB group, Instagram following) with the potential to move onto product (where versions of the logo will be printed on clothing). <br/><br/>So far my ideas include what you might call an abstract image - I had envisaged a sort of 'clip art' style vector (i.e. very limited detailing - more of a silhouette ) of a man facing into the viewer, in a running pose - he is wearing a classic business suit and striped tie (to identify one role/type of father) carrying a power-drill in his right hand (the drill is pointed up rather like a 'James Bond holding a pistol' image i.e. with the right arm winging out, with the upper arm at around 45 degrees from the hip and the forearm at about 90 degrees to the upper arm). In his left hand he carries a young child - this might be a young baby in a 'carry seat' <br/>..(e.g. car seat with a handle) held in his hand, or it could be a toddler held in his arm, or perhaps even on his shoulder (although I feel this might make the running posture seem unrealistic and could also unbalance the image in terms of dimensions)<br/>I'm thinking a monochrome vector style image - limited detail etc. <br/><br/>Example images attached:<br/>- I like the drill arm position and strong masculine physique and features of the image with the blue background<br/>- I like the determined, steely facial expression and directional stance of the image with the yellow background<br/><br/>I think perhaps both of these logos have too much detail, but they might be useful in guiding your thinking. <br/><br/>The logo needs to be full body as opposed to torso, in order to emphasise the running pose. Also, I quite like the effect of containing the logo within a circle - e.g. in the image with blue background - I like the sense of perspective it gives and think it could be used to give a sense of pace and forward direction for the figure in my logo. <br/><br/>Clearly I am not design oriented, so I am happy to take suggestions from designers who feel they have a better logo concept with which to express the brand<br/>
