Logo Design Brief

I need a logo to go on our sign, but would like there to be some sort of symbol/icon/decal that can stand alone with or without the full text of "The Blue House Gallery".

My business is an art gallery with lodging quarters above it.
The Blue House Gallery is a historic house (built 1919) that is being remodeled and converted to an art gallery. The house has a second floor that will remain residential, guests can rent it by the night to stay above the gallery and be a part of our experience. The gallery itself will be available to host private events as a place that is warm, interesting, and has great art everywhere. And of course we sell art.

The specific color blue of the house is "Crystal Lake" (PPG1151-4). It is craftsman style with modern accents and historic vibes.

The primary feature is the gallery, which sells paint on canvas. It is obviously in a house, and our aim is to create a gallery experience that welcomes everyone and does not require an intellectual understanding of art to have a response. That's important- we do not want to communicate pretentious vibes or that we're taking ourselves too seriously. At the same time, the craftsmanship of the house (and our art) is of the highest quality. Well done and not cheap, but not gaudy and extravagant.

We believe there is a child's imagination in all of us, even if it's been buried beneath the demands of life. Art is the medium that unlocks that imagination and allows us to make up our own stories and feel something with no practical or transactional agenda.
The goal of BH is to create a new way to experience art with no fear of judgement or being out of place so that people (who otherwise may not have) can connect with that part of themselves. We don't push our art on people, we just want the community to come and hopefully be inspired and connect with something. If they keep coming back to see what we're doing and bring their friends because they're proud the BH exists in our community, eventually they'll find something to buy. Important- the logo should be inviting and disarming.
