Logo Design Brief
We are looking to rebrand an apartment community. Our apartment community address is 800 Southern Avenue SE, Washington, DC. It is available to see from Google Maps/Earth. We are about to endeavor on a $75 million redevelopment. We are working with a resident board.
First, the general idea. They would like to work around the number '800'. The board found the below design and liked the style of text - not sure what kind of text that is called. They like the clean and simple look. We are looking for a logo that has color but can easily be converted into a black/white or Grey Scale design for various uses.
Second, we need to tie in a color/color scheme. We believe we are looking to go with some variation of green or blue, however, we are open to other suggestions. We are not open to red/orange/pink variations (due to close competition) or purple. We will be doing some type of wall covering in the entrance of the building. Along the lines of the blue/green color scheme, I've attached some wall coverings we found that we might like. These are not finalized, however, and will be adjusted should we go in a different color direction. Just inspirational ideas.
Lastly, we know 800 is very brief. The logo will likely be attached to something like:
800 Southern Avenue Apartment Homes, or
800 Apartment Homes, or
The Residences at 800.
Updates
There are many reasons that I am requesting this suggestion. I've asked for updated designs from designers. Our original project was started aroung Thanksgiving and team members were slow to provide feedback to me. Now we are running into Christmas. I am more than happy to pay for an extension.
