Logo Design Brief
Need a professional logo for blog website about hiking and walking in the outdoors. The current (nonprofessional) logo is on the site now - http://arklahomahiker.org .
The website features information, adventures, photos, and video of hiking trails and outdoor walking paths in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
A logo with prominent use of teal or that would work well with teal would be preferable. Presently, teal is the most dominant color on the site.
The current logo says "ArklahomaHiker.org" and has a tag line. However, I would like this logo to just say "Arklahoma Hiker" (two words) with no tag line.
The current font is a "distressed"-type font (similar to the "Distro" font). I think that type of font conveys a nice outdoorsy/adventure feel for the site, but I'm open to other ideas.
Updates
In case it is helpful, most of the trails covered on the website are dayhiking trails - i.e., they do not involve overnight backpacking. Some of the postings are about overnight backpacking adventure, but most are in the range of 1 to 9 miles and can be done within a day.
Of course, for a day hike, there would be no need to pack along a tent or sleeping bag. (I'm not saying that needs to be reflected in the logo. This is just for background information.)

In text, I will be referring to the site as "Arklahoma Hiker" (two words). But I am open to logos that show a space between the two words or that don't.
