Logo Design Brief

This is a unique project to support anti-smoking in Canada. Your logo will be used by a non for profit organization based in Ottawa, Canada that works to reduce tobacco use and harms.

I need a logo / banner for a 1280 pixel wide web site that features a Web map is to explore and compare university program information across Canada. An interactive web map will facilitate the exchange of information about how educators are being trained to promote tobacco cessation with their future clients.

The first designs I received missed the banner aspect of this project, didn't take advantage of the banner. Consider a bolder wider image/theme, and even that university students as well as administrators will look at the site.

Universities are invited to post their program information on this interactive map, and over time, standards of practice will develop, on how doctors, dentists and pharmacists will be trained the counseling skills to reduce smoking in their patient.

The Web site is experimental crowd sourcing process tool, that must encourage people to take action - update their program information.

Requirements

Must have

• The Canadian maple leaf our national symbol and or a solid red map of Canada, in some form is required for this national project. And this means we don't have to include Canada in the text.
  
  The logo itself can be as simple as a maple leaf, as shown in my attached Web design. I am interested in how you can blend together your logo, text and all elements for the banner.
  
  Please use the attached Web design as the framework for your work.
  
  The Web site uses blue and red for the horizontal navigation bars as shown in my photoshop designs attached. You may change the shade of blue, but not the red.
  
  We are open to different approaches to the logo/banner treatment, so please share your vision for the project beyond the logo itself.
  
  You may alter the Web banner design to make your logo/banner design work better. You may increase the height of the logo and banner by 20%. You can also place the logo on the left of the scrollable slider, as the Web site is actually 200 pixels wider that the attached images. And change any of the theme colours (slider) except for the navigation bars.
