We are looking for an engaging infographic that will illustrate the steps and skill set needed to become an agricultural pilot. The infographic will be used in print and on the web. Print formats could include an 8.5" x 11" page or 17" x 11" spread/poster in a magazine and should also be scalable so that it can be printed as a larger poster. The web-ready infographic will be used on the association's website and Facebook page. Agricultural aviation is an exciting profession, but it is not always apparent or easy to get started in the industry. This infographic will focus on the requirements, training options, skills/mindset, working conditions, and income potential for someone interested in becoming an agricultural pilot, as well as the need for agricultural aviation services. The working title for the infographic is, "The Search for America's Next Ag Pilots is On!" I am uploading a Word document with the proposed text. What we would like a graphic designer to do is turn that text into something highly visual/graphical. The supplied text can be pared down, if necessary, or used as a guide to accomplish the appropriate balance between the words, images, and graphics. The final design should be professional but appeal to people, primarily males, between the ages of 17-30.

Target Market(s)
This infographic is aimed at people between the ages of 17-30, predominantly males, interested flying and a possible career in agricultural aviation. A lot of people may be pilots who are interested in agricultural aviation, but they don't know how go about it. Typically, potential ag pilots have lived in a rural area and enjoy the outdoors. Due to the small size of the industry, agricultural aviation can be challenging to get into. We want this infographic to shed some light on that process in a way that will resonate with a younger generation. Requirements
Must have
- 1) The infographic should follow the general format provided in the Ag-Pilot-Career-Infographic-Concept document. It does not have to literally follow that format (for instance, I used bullet points), but it should convey and, depending on how much creative license you use, at least capture the essence of the factors outlined in the document for becoming an ag pilot. It would be preferable for the infographic to be in portrait format in case it is made into a poster. The infographic should end with our logo and web address.
2) The infographic should also feature illustrations of ag planes (a.k.a. crop dusters), but they have to be of actual agricultural aircraft. An open-cockpit biplane is not an ag plane.
3) All images must be royalty-free and obtained legally. If you choose to use stock art, start with the comp image until the artwork is approved.
Nice to have
- 1) Agricultural images/illustrations, such as corn, wheat or cotton.
2) Icons of a growing crowd of people to illustrate 8.1 billion people by 2025 and a population of 9.6 billion people by 2050.
Should not have
- Crop dusting is an outdated term. Aerial applicators do not apply dust, products are primarily dispensed in liquid form. Therefore, do not use any imagery featuring plumes of smoke coming from the airplane or helicopter. Also, although the current pool of ag pilots is getting older, the infographic should not make them appear geriatric or elderly.
