Asian Arks' logo design contest

General feedback from the client on designs to date:
1) slightly disappointed to see some text-only designs since we asked for a combination of images and text and even specified which animals we'd like to see included;
2) we're also surprised to see Tigers in some designs, including a logo that is just a Tiger, because we specifically said the logo must not include Tigers or Elephants as they are too commonly-used;
3) while we would like a bodhi (fig) tree as a key part of the design we do not want the image to have overt religious symbols (we are not a religious organisation) so no Buddha images (or Noah's Arks) please!
4) the logo brief file attached to the brief as well as the online brief itself makes these points clear.
Thanks!
Dear CH
just saw this project really interested in working on it. Can we submit designs if not you have chosen any designs
Thanks
Yes, please do submit designs! We have not yet selected any. Many thanks!
General question, Do you need all the animals in the logo? It will be over crowded. If you want I can submit the logo with all the animals listed.
Thank you. Versions of the logo with fewer animals are fine. We've decided against wild cattle as they are too easily confused with domestic livestock; acceptable alternatives include Asian Elephant, Asian Tapir, Clouded Leopard (but not if Leopard is also shown). Thanks!
Sorry, do you want a logo or an oil painting? I'm confused, because what you have described in your brief will not make a good, or usable logo. Think of the biggest companies, Apple, McDonalds, IBM, Nike etc, all very simple logos.
The fig tree, some nice typography, that's your logo! It's appropriate, it has meaning, and it can be made simple enough so it scales well and looks good at small sizes.
I strongly urge you to reconsider your concept and adjust your brief accordingly. Just some friendly advice :)
