If you have no idea what the characters would look like yet, it would help if you had a story, or the kind of setting in which the story will take place. Or a theme, like fantasy, medievel, military etc.

There is no story in this game. It’s a simple Jump rope game.
But the theme would be like fantasy.

- Is the main character male or female?
- What are the enemies wearing?
- Are the enemies holding a specific weapon (like a knife) or they're just running towards the hero?
- What is the hero wearing?
