Youngstown CityScape, a non-profit organization in Youngstown, OH, recently received a grant through the Ohio Beverage Association (us) and the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America. This grant will go towards the installation of garbage/recycling receptacles throughout the downtown area including the Youngstown State University campus and adjacent neighborhoods and gateways.
Specifically, this will:
a. Replace garbage receptacles with ones compatible with new Terracycle cigarette butt receptacles previously purchased; this will reduce cigarette litter as well as improve cleanliness of downtown area;
b. Convert current trash receptacles into recycling bins. This would allow Youngstown to start a new downtown recycling program.
We are responsible for designing a 12” by 18” sign that reflects our involvement in the project and encourages recycling. We request that you do not copy/paste the above, rather come up with a creative, unique design that reflects the goal of recycling.
