Logo Design Brief

We are a new law firm and mediation business looking for a logo. It's really 2 businesses in 1, and the 2 things we do are almost opposites: the law firm side of the business goes to court and fights cases, and the mediation side of the business is about resolving disputes outside of court. The icon needs to represent both sides of the business. Fiona is our main lawyer and she is professional, assertive, yet caring and emotionally intelligent. We do a lot of divorce mediations and mediations involving child custody disputes which require a high level of sensitivity. We also mediate disputes for families, community groups, and parties in business litigation. All the mediations involve hostile parties in conflict coming together to try to reach agreement. The parties are often volatile and distressed desperate for an outcome. Our firm is in a rural/regional area; it would not be relevant to depict a city scene. The colour scheme is open but we are keen on either grayscale with some silver, or a mix of predominately cyan/teal/Tiffany blue inspired colour with silver.
