Logo Design Brief

We are seeking a logo for our website called Cardealtracker.ca. It is a site that for the first time offers comparison shopping of auto manufacturers' national and regional new car/truck loan and lease promotions.

We intend to expand beyond the raw promotional information to offer real-life reviews of new cars and trucks, so we do not want to overemphasize the "dollar" or "money" or "finance" aspect of the site in our logo.

We are interested in both black and white designs and color. primary background likely to be in the range of 363636 to 666666 hex. action colors are likely to be blue 1c69d4 and British racing green 004225.

Designers may be interested to expand on the concept of headlights or tires of car silhouette being the eyes of a happy face. Any profiles of a car in the logo must angled so that the front of the car is pointing to the right.

The website has a significant on-site search/database component, so we would welcome aspects of that in the logo if it works.

Target Market(s)

interested purchasers of a new car, light truck or SUV, and people that generally like to read about new cars and the automotive industry. Expect age group to fall in the late 20s to early 60s range with target in early 40s.

• Do not use a sports car (i.e. Ferrari or Lamborghini) in the logo. Primary target users are going to be looking at 4-door sedans and SUVs.
• Do not use a racing car in the logo.
• Do not use money or dollar sign in logo.
• Do not use a maple leaf in the logo. We intend to expand globally with the same logo.
