Logo Design Brief

We need a new logo. Have recently done a big makeover to an older apartment property. Getting ready to build a new monument sign and need a new look/logo. Attached shows current, tired logo on the monument sign. Good thing is, we have a lot of room to work with on this sign. We'd also like whatever logo is chosen to be used on brochures, website, etc. Interested in doing something more current, modern, maybe even minimalist in design. It does have to be legible enough to be easy read as someone is driving by.
