Logo Design Brief

I would like to incorporate our initials into our logo. My wife's name is Dina and my name is Derrl, and our last name is Ohnheiser. So I would like interlocking "D"s for our first name, surrounded by an "O" for our last name.
I am sending two logos that I have. One is black and white, it has everything I want but its a little plain. The other one that is green, I feel is a little to much and it does not incorporate the "O" for Ohnheiser. I guess I am looking for something in between.
We will use this logo for our letterhead, invoices, and logo on our cattle trailers.
