Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for an Enduro MTB race in Oslo, the capital of Norway.

NB: This brief got updated 10.12 at 20.01. We would like a tiger pawn design. See must have section.

First of all, Enduro is a gravity based MTB race format. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enduro_(mountain_biking)

The race is held in Tryvann every year, in a area that is a ski resort during the winter(oslo vinterpark). Tryvann is a area in Oslo, the capital of Norway. The forrest surrounds the Oslo, and that is what makes Oslo special. It takes about 30min with the subway to travel from the city centre to the top of Tryvann. You can say that Tryvann is located above the city and the city fjord(oslofjorden).
(the subway can not be included in the logo)

You know you have reached the highest point on Tryvann when you reach the Tryvannstårnet(Tryvann Tower). This point is 529moh. Alle of our race stages starts from this point. This is also where our race venue will be. Our stages are short, about 1-2km long, and the winning time is from 2-4min.

Oslo is called the Tigerstate(for no logical reason). That is why we want a tiger to be the main feature of our logo. There is a big massive tiger statue outside our city train station; welcoming all travelers to the city.

Additional:
- We have a trail crew that builds trails for the race. So it would be nice to get two versions of the logo. They should look the same, but the text must be different. The main logo, the logo for the race will have the text "Oslo Enduro". while the other version of the logo, the one for the trailcrew, will have the text "Oslo Enduro Trailcrew".

Also, if the Trailcrew version can have a little detail showing a trailbuilder tool(s) or something similar, that would be cool. It`s not a must, and this detail can`t change the actual logo, it must be a extra ting added in the text or something. Ideas are welcome.

Requirements

Must have

• Our main idea:
• tiger paw as the frame. The claws needs to be long so it does not look like dog paws.
• The tryvann tower needs to be one finger in the paw.

• On the link over, the picture to the right shows our idea.
• The green paw example in the link over shows how a trail can be included in the logo.
• We want to see examples where the text "oslo enduro " is written in the paw and outside the paw.
• It is important that the paw dont look cute and not like a dog paw. Thats why we like having long claws ant square edges on the paw, like the example in the link above.
• If you feel like you have another good idea, feel free to send us something completely different. It must include the Tryvann tower though, but it does not have to have the tiger. We are open minded.

Should not have

• - No bike parts or bikers. We wan`t something that is easy to remember and that stands out from other bike logos. All other bike logos seem to have bike parts, high peaks etc. in them, so we don`t want that.
• - No mountain peaks - this is not a big mountain event. We don`t have high peaks, just forrest.
