Logo Design Brief

Create a business logo that encompasses the business name.

About the business to help you get a feel. The business is a sewing, hand crafted business selling sewing pouches, bags, aprons, clothes and quilt patterns. All products are made by hand with superb detail using high quality fabrics in modern prints and colours. They are designed to be the absolute best so that even other makers would be proud of the work.This is a home business, just 1 person making the products, and will be very small batch or one-off creations. See attachments for examples of products (apron, sewing clutches, quilt pattern) and the current tag that is attached to products. Future goals include offering custom/ commissioned creations and workshops.

Target Market(s)

Other "makers" in the creative community, especially those who are interested in fibre arts (sewing, knitting, crochet etc). Aprons will also target those who enjoy cooking. Typically (though not exclusively) women. People who appreciate the value of buying local and handmade.

Nice to have

• A sewing related image such as scissors, needle and thread, measuring tape, stitches.
• Typewriter font (only if it works, not a must have).
• I have attached photo of current tag used on products - if logo ties in with this, that would be great but not essential (tags can always be re-done and a strong branding logo takes priority).
• I like symmetry and balance.
• A "skull and crossbones" style design using a thread spool (as skull) and scissors or needles (as crossbones) would be interesting to see!

Should not have

• Super curly or busy looking font that is harder to read.
• Not square/ blocky/ angular.
