Logo Design Brief

We need a conservative but contemporary logo for a political consultancy / advisory firm. The key qualities I'm looking to convey are reliable, understated and professional. My preference is for good clean typography rather than a specific logo but I'm open to a range of options. I have no specific colours in mind.
