That's a futuristic font?

The brief asked for :

The judges liked the strong origami inspired unicorn design and felt the font was sufficiently modern and industrial to avoid any association with images of fairy tales or fantasy. The font by itself was not the most modern and industrial in the competition entries. However, many of the designs entered into the competition that used the most futuristic / industrial / space age fonts did not have a unicorn or owl included, or if they did, the design was not scored as highly as the winning design(s).

The judges wanted to see a logo with a symbol and text working together that could be deployed on websites, business cards, T shirts, vehicles etc without much further work.

The designer also submitted several variants in 3D, blue, greyscale, black and white which showed the design would work well in all the intended environments.

There was also a second place winner who submitted a very strong stylised owl design, again with a solid, industrial font.

Both winners initial designs were 4* and they then submitted multiple iterations and variations of designs which were right on target of the design brief. Including Left / Right facing versions and different spacing / arrangements of key logo components.

The website message announcement just seems to show one version from one of the winning designs.
The reality is that there are multiple other variants that will allow the winning design(s) to work in all the required environments.
