Background on organization:
The Kendall Square Association (KSA) is a next-generation community platform that connects, advocates for, and advances the goals of the world’s leading innovation ecosystem. We are a membership-based organization in Cambridge, MA that represents nearly 200 top companies, including: Google, Facebook, MIT, Shire, Biogen, Draper, and many other life sciences, technology, biotech, retail, non-profit, research and academic institutions. Background on initiative:
The Boston area is dealing with significant traffic congestion. We know that the pain of getting in and out of Kendall Square is a consistent issue. The Kendall Square Association acknowledges this pain point and is working to collaborate on hyper-local solutions through the KSA Transportation ADVANCE - a year-long project with a series of experiments and pilots that will lead to a summit revealing results and sharing inspiring case studies.
Background on event:
Event title: Future of Transportation Showcase
Target audience: 500-1,000 employees & residents of Kendall Square - primarily adults who work in biotech, tech, pharma industries who are early tech adopters.
Event description:
We're kicking off the KSA Transportation ADVANCE with an employee-centric, experiential event where employees and residents in Kendall can come out and ride 'futuristic' personal transportation modes. Don’t just watch cool videos on Youtube! Join us at the Future of Transportation Showcase and actually ride a Lime/Bird e-bike, try the Swagtron hoverboard, learn about autonomous cars and planes.
Date: Tuesday, October 23rd (Rain Date: Thursday, October 25th)
Time: 11 AM - 12 PM
Location: South Park Plaza, near 450 Kendall St
