Logo Design Brief

Design a surf travel logo for a website. The logo should purvey adventure and excitement and fit in the space of some of the major surf brand/travel websites. attached is the current branding. I like the shakka / hand icon and would like to tie this into the logo somehow but currently, this does not work with the text which that i have for my current logo. I think it could become a little dated as it currently is.

This is for my website which connects surfer with the best surf travel destinations worldwide. It will be a gobal brand
