Logo Design Brief

I am starting a consulting company. I help geospatial start-ups develop their go to market plans so that they can generate revenue faster, better understand their customers and provide an awesome product. I chose "10 Mile" because is is geographic in nature and has a sense of place (The Ten Mile Range is the mountain range that Breckenridge Ski Area is on here in Colorado). I don't want a logo that is a map or globe and I don't necessarily need something that is mountain-y, either. I want a logo that is cool, uses 2 awesome colors (ish) and creates a sense of "excitement for something new and success". I like the kind of logo that has a stand alone logo with the words off to the right and below (2 versions), I don't like the kind of logo that has the graphics intertwined with the words. If a cool font is used, I would like to know what it is so that I can use that font in my other marketing materials.
