Logo Design Brief

We need something more current with a corporate look related to the nature of our business - Commercial and Residential Finance Brokers.

CDG Finance is a broking company focused on commercial and residential lending.
The acronym CDG is related to business owner's name Carlo Di Giovanni.
We would like to maintain the acronym CDG Finance somehow in the logo but we are open to suggestions as long as the organisation's name gets related to, as well as what we do.
We currently have a logo but we believe is quite dated and not particularly recognisable or dynamic. It needs a redesign.
