Logo Design Brief

I am a video and audio production company looking for a modern logo to represent my business. The word Selkirk is a mountain range in the area that I live, that i have spent a lot of time skiing and camping. It is relative to the area i will be conducting most of my business. I am thinking a snow capped mountain in the logo with the text Selkirk Media. Maybe incorporate an audio waveform somewhere such as the separation between the bottom portion of the mountain (no snow) and the top portion of the mountain (with snow). Just an idea. Or maybe use the waveform idea in the middle of the "A" in the word media. The main focus of the company is video production. Eventually i would like to have a motion graphic for the logo, (not sure it that matters when building a logo). I have always liked the chrome type look such as the "THX" logo and with a little color cast to it maybe? Medium to dark blue. Of course I am open to any and all ideas that's why I am using design crowd. We could lose the mountain completely if an idea comes up that better represents the modern motion picture/film look. The logo should communicate Modern, simple, techy, motion picture/film look. Hope this helps. Thanks in advance. Peace
