We need a logo design for our State Highways maintenance team in Northland, New Zealand. This is a team made up of management staff from both Fulton Hogan (Engineering and Infrastructure) and the New Zealand Transport Agency, as well as our cyclic/maintenance crews from Fulton Hogan. We need a logo design that conveys both our region and who we are/what we do, which is relative to our unified association as well as provide a sense of ownership to our local community. We have recently held a workshop to create our name and vision and we will now be known as "Coastal Connection Northland". This is born from our region's position of being sandwiched between two oceans. Due to the long, thin shape of our region we are never far from any coast and the coast dominates our lifestyles.
We have made a very rough sketch of our chosen design as a reference. To the left we would like an outline of Northland, NZ in a brushstroke effect, with a few blue lines on the edge representing the sea, and one or two red lines/strokes through the middle representing the State Highway (State Highway 1 and 15/16 are the main arterials). I have attached an image showing these. To the right of this graphic we would like our name - three words stacked in caps - COASTAL CONNECTION NORTHLAND. Northland should be in font approximately 30-50% the size of Coastal Connection. All words should be spaced to the same width. Open to font suggestions but it should be sophisticated/corporate and modern. Font should be in blue (Our company blue is C=100 M=0 Y=8 K=13).
