Logo Design Brief

I'm starting a nutrition business and need a logo and identity character separate from logo. Nothing cartoonish, but on the superhero side. Would like it to have some wood, stainless steel,nuts and bolts look in it. Was thinking about red,white and blue in it. But not sure about American flag being in it. Maybe if it looked right . The store name is Captain Nutrition.
