Logo Design Brief

Looking for a logo design to give our club's Beach Rugby Festival an identity. The festival is mainly geared to children from 6-13 years but we are also looking to expand it to an adult division as well. We are looking for an eye catching, fun logo. We are looking to put these on t-shirts as well as use in promotional material such as brochures, a banner, a header on our registration form etc.

Elements we might want to see incorporated into the design: A beach theme (Canadian beach, no palm trees), The Cobourg Lighthouse (image below), maple leaf, a rugby ball, elements of our mascot (included below). Possibly the silhouette of the lighthouse. Another idea we have tossed around is our mascot leaning against the lighthouse like he is in between beach rugby games waiting for the next opponent, similar to the image of the eagle leaning against a pillar I have included.

Not all of the elements need to be included these are just suggestions. The design may only have 1 or two of the elements. The lighthouse is sort of distinct so I think that is the preferred structure to be included.

Looking for a design that would allow us to use on a variety of colour of t-shirts, so likely a 2-3 colour logo would give us that flexibility. Or the ability to scale the logo down to a black and white, or 3 colour logo for the purpose of t-shirt screening and then used full colour for other purposes.

Target Market(s)

Children, parents, rugby players. Predominantly a kids beach rugby tournament with hopes to expand to an adult division in coming years.
