Web Design Brief

We are looking for a redesign of our mobile deals comparison website. We need something fresh and engaging for the consumer, there should be space for placing key banners with promotions but the main focus being the main banner which should be interactive with a search built in as well as an image.
We like the look of mobiles.co.uk and uswitch.co.uk/mobiles

We would also like a blog focus on the website and a customer reviews section similar to websites who use trustpilot or reviews.co.uk

I have attached a mockup from another designer but its too basic and does not scream brand and engage our consumer like I would want it to. Really looking for something out of the box and unique.
