T-shirt Design Brief

We have a small woodworking company and are looking for a t-shirt design that is clever and/or wood-related: funny, playful, play on words, etc. This design would be on shirts that we would wear at shows/public events, but also for sale.

We do all sorts of things: kitchen tables, counter tops, butcher blocks, serving trays, wine racks, etc, but also things like skate boards. Most of our work is custom, and we do a lot of seasonal markets and shows.

We are just looking for a t-shirt design that is just a couple words or short saying (with or without a graphic) and is kind of clever or tongue-in-cheek/double entendre (it doesn't have to be, though!) It could even be something fun and lighthearted.

We are terribly uncreative with this sort of thing.. We thought of "nailed it" or "fir real," but wonder if they are too overused right now. Any puns, like "birch, please" work, but not as far as "son of a beech" or anything that could be taken offensively.

Must have

• Something that is unique, that people will smile at when they see. Something that makes the t-shirt have a "gotta have it" quality.

Nice to have

• A design that would work on a variety of mid-dark t-shirt colours. We do not want to use white t-shirts.

Should not have

• Anything that might be construed as offensive.
