Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a website and business stationary. Our business is colourful hand-painted silk scarves from Indonesia and hand-woven wool scarves from the Himalayas.

We do have a small amount of jewelry (wood and silver) as well.

The company is called Yak Tree. We came up with the name after travelling extensively in the Buddhist regions of the Indian Himalayas.

We are targeting people that appreciate good quality hand-made products. Much of our stock is made by small scale producers. The wool scarves tend to be quite sophisticated and are for men or women. Although we do have some bright, funky scarves for young people
The silk scarves are colourful and bright. They silk scarves are all aimed at women age 25-60+

Our prices range from £10 to £50 for some of the bigger wool shawls.

We want a "natural" feel to the logo and want to incorporate a tree into the design. It should not be a tropical or pine tree. More of an oak or banyan tree style.

It should be quite simple, and not overly colourful. Browns, greens, rust colours would be good, although not a necessity.

Perhaps the name could flow into the tree.

It does not have to include a yak, although if you can make this happen it would be interesting to see.
