Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company based in Toronto, Canada. The name of the company is “Envision Robotics”. Our focus is helping kids (ages 6 - 15 yrs) learn about robotics through hands-on experience and programing using computers. In the attachment I’ve indicated my preferences: 2 colour, incorporate a emoji-like character (see examples) that is separate from the text aspect of the design, also relatively simple as I plan to use the image in street/building signage so it needs to be read quickly and from a distance as well as using the image & logo in the facility. In the future, would like to use the character, which also should be light, fun, and simple (see Ivy example) in a way to communicate various emotions (excited, curious, etc.). [Note: I will ask the selected designer to design various poses in a separate project (plan to use this in marketing both online and on walls of facility]. I like the relatively simple text of the examples provided (Ivy, Zenbot, and Mayfield) and where the character/image is on the left. If the design were to include some stylistic aspect to the text (Envision Robotics) would look for this to be minimal – again, making it easier to read and reproduce in various forms.

Requirements

Must have

• Colour: 2 colour (see attachment for examples...prefer the blue and gray but open to the blue and green)
• Text & Emoji-like character/image (see attachment for examples I like, don't like)
• Image on Left of text
• Image not to be integrated into the text design (so the impage can more easily be split apart to use seprately in other digital impagery).
• Text too should be simple (easy to read, compliment the emoji-character....playful?)

Nice to have

• Logo design that incorporates a emoji-like character that can be altered in the future into other expressions (see Ivy example) as a future project. Design of the character should be relatively simple, minimal complexity and features - like eye or eyes, mouth, some type of body, arms could be helpful in allowing for other expressions, legs may be optional (?).

Should not have

• Text or images that are too complex. Not looking for text that incorporates too much design complexity such robotic arms, gears, etc. Like more simple text with the stylish aspect of the logo design to be in the emoji-like image.
