Logo Design Brief

We are a new vineyard in Virginia and in need of a logo for printed material as well as clothing; the logo must be able to be embroidered. We will construct a winery in the immediate future so wine themes work.

The plantation home was constructed on the banks of the James river in 1867 and is a historic landmark. (pic attached) The property, once part of Shirley Plantation, the oldest plantation in Virginia, was settled in 1613. Prior to establishing a vineyard we were in the horse business (making polo ponies). Hence there are a number of themes that could be used: colonial, river, equestrian, etc.

I have drawn and attached a wine themed log which could be done as a coat of arms. I am no artist as u will see... The letters USV for Upper Shirley Vineyards are constructed with the U coming from the image of a wine glass, the S being a grape vine, and the V from 2 canted wine bottles. If someone can convert this or something similar I think we'd have strong contender.
