Mascot Design Brief

***UPDATE***I am updating this brief because we want to add another possible character to this project. As a whole new idea (way out of the box) how about trying some human-based character, perhaps a genius-looking fellow – Einstein-like or Sherlock-Holms-esc, or something like one of the attached images?

You could create a Coach type figure or combine the Genius look with the coach look. Or have a monster that is also a coach. Use your imagination. See what you can come up with.

We are looking for a creature that has smooth, simple lines. We need something that could be easily animated in the future. He should look like he is confident and in charge. The most important aspect would be his eyes. The eyes should really communicate. Our public are engineers. These guys build roads and bridges. They are not totally serious, but this should not look like a kids cartoon. We need something that an engineer could relate to. Please see the attached images as examples of the type of look we are going for.
