T-shirt Design Brief

We are a new veteran-operated, non-profit that is looking for a t-shirt design to display our message. Our goal is provide housing for homeless veterans and then give them vocational training and assist in securing careers to move forward in life.

Ultimately, we would like the words "Patriots Hope" at the top and "Helping homeless veterans achieve lasting independence" at the bottom with an image in the center. We are looking for an image that reflects patriotism and hope, while illustrating soldiers helping homeless veterans. Our initial thought is to have a background of an american flag (with a weathered appearance) with a silhouette of a "homeless vet" on a bench reaching up and grabbing the hand of a soldier.

We're not sure how this concept will convey to a drawing, so we are definitely opened to recommendations. We are interested in assistance with the graphical design of the back of the t-shirt. We are looking for something to grab attention and use as a fundraiser.
