Logo Design Brief

We play contemporary country music that is great for dancing and for parties. We want people to know that we are a fun band and they should be ready for a good time. Logo could be the complete name, or it could be the letters "CC" with Country Current as a subtext. Open to all ideas. We have no color preferences at this time, but would like the logo design to look good on all promotional items, from t-shirts and posters - to drink coasters and business cards. It should also look good on the front of the bass drum. We are a local band only, not a touring band. We play primarily in Muskegon, Michigan, and nearby shorline communities. Google the city to see where we are. We don't necessarily need or want the geography incorporated in the design, but since we are a waterfront community, we would like the play off of a "Water" theme, tying the word "CURRENT" into imagery of "river" currents or "waves" on a lake. We have lots of rivers and lakes in our region.
