Wordpress Design Brief
After looking at a few similar websites I formed a layout and colour scheme design in my head.
Then I came across this site (www.confetti.co.uk) which very close to what I am looking for in terms of layout of the page content and colours. So I would like something very similar but not so similar it just looks like a clone of this site. Almost identical in terms of how the content is laid out but colours and look and feel can be changed.
I have also provided a sketch of how I would like the content of the page to flow. See attachment.

Style and layout: Wedding Theme
Colour Scheme: Clean and simple. White background in content area. Hints or highlights of grey/sliver, maybe pink here and there.
The page will flow as follows
Header part of the Page
- Name of the site on top left part of the page. “Hitched in Spain”.
- 728x90 horizontal banner aligned on right.
- Under the site name “Hitched in Spain” and banner will be a horizontal menu bar running the full width of the content
Main Content Area
- The main content column will be about 630px and the right sidebar will be about 330px. Similar width to most of the example URLs I have provided.
- Aligned to the left will be a slider
- Graphic or Pic: Guide to marrying in Spain: Everything you need to plan your wedding in spain.
- Graphic: Local Vendors Directory
- Articles 1 – 4
Right Sidebar (About 330px):
- Popular Post: Title of the Post and the first 2-3 lines of the post.
- 300x250 Ad Slot
- Locations: Title such as Barcelona then the first 2-3 lines of the post.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: It took me a few days to get acquainted with this site. As I don't have any designs in just yet I am extending the project a few days in order to give people time to submit their designs.

Something I would like to ad that i think designers will find useful.
The core of this site is the “Spanish Wedding Guide” and the “Local Vendor Directory”. These two things are what the site is all about so they need to feature. The viewers eyes must be drawn immediately to these two bit of information upon loading the page. These two things go underneath the slider.
