Graphic Design Brief
I need a clean design for a post card that is 5"inches in length by 4 1/2 inches in height. This card is full color and is mailed inside of a plastic wrapper casing. Example would be City Publications/ RSVP
publications. The offers inside range from home improvement discounts to fine dining and the target market is affluent women. Demographics income levels start at $100,000 plus and home values start at $300,000 plus. It is mailed 5 times per year to this exclusive group of customers. The design needs to be upscale, contemporary
and must have the wow factor. Photos needed of categories' vector back ground not sure. Colors must be rich -gold-black etc. Mercedes look. Texture background could work. This cover needs to be designed with video in mind. Cover must have samples of video downloads via QR codes. The main idea behind this coupon mailing is for the customer to be able to engage themselves by looking at the video plus receive a great discount and be able to pass it on to facebook or tweeter and a website will also be available for downloads of coupons. Also, the design needs to be used in all five mailings just by changing the background and the featured videos.
The final design should communicate the idea of using QR codes for video downloads and that women are the principal users of discounts and they also make about 80 % decisions or start the ball rolling about the home and other purchases. It also should build a wow factor that advertiser will want to advertise with City Values because of the target market and by engaging the customers more by using videos to enhance their ads.
